Welcome from BFA's Principal
August 2008
Dear BFA Family,
I am honored and humbled to be appointed as the principal of the middle school at the Baltimore Freedom Academy. This position will be a great opportunity for me to work collaboratively with a community of remarkable educators and support staff. BFA has a reputation of being one of the best schools in Baltimore City and I am confident that the middle school scholars will continue to help maintain this remarkable achievement. My goal, as an instructional leader, will be to cultivate a community of stakeholders who will support the vision and mission of the school. This is a challenge I have accepted and will fulfill!
I am a native Baltimorean who grew up in West Baltimore. I am a graduate of Edmondson High School, the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and John Hopkins University. Service has been given in numerous capacities in the Baltimore City Public School System for more than 20 years. Throughout the years, I have discovered that the students from Baltimore City are extremely intelligent, motivated to learn and excited about life.
I look forward to working with this team of highly talented faculty and staff in the middle and upper school. Thank you to Ms. Dana Hunter, who has welcomed and supported me since my arrival. She and I will continue to work collaboratively, throughout the year, to create a positive school culture and climate.
This will be an amazing year which will be full of celebrations and accomplishments. I look forward to sharing every experience with you and know that we will have a productive school year.
Sincerely,
Pamela Caple
Middle School Principal
Baltimore Freedom Academy
