Lending a Hand
Baltimore Freedom Academy students in the 11th grade volunteer weekly at local non-profit organizations and elementary schools throughout the city. Through Learning by Service, students have the opportunity to understand the needs of others and to support their communities. Additionally, it provides students with real-life work experience.
For more information about the Learning By Service program please contact the Program Coordinator at 443-984-2739 or cgaber@baltimorefreedomacademy.org.
Seniors at the Baltimore Freedom Academy participate in internships in support of their social practicum course to support their study and analysis of a particular social issue. The community internship supports their ability to create a presentation on potential solutions to the issues they seek to address.
