Clubs and Activities
BFA students are active in a range of structured and informal activities. Activities offered each year may vary depending on student interest and instructor/mentor availability.
Urban Debate Team
Students can participate in inter-scholastic meets. Congratulations to the team for a stellar record!
Chess Club
Students learn the learn the fundamentals of chess as well as more advanced strategies after school.
Outward Bound
BFA students go on weeklong excursions in either the Fall or Spring to build leadership skills and self-awareness. Students usually return victorious - boasting about hiking far enough to cross from Maryland into the Pennsylvania over the Mason Dixon line.
Mock Trial Team
Baltimore Freedom Academy participate in a state-wide competition sponsored by Citizenship Law Related Education Program (www.clrep.org) of the MD State Bar Association. Many of our students are passionate about learning about and being active in the law. Mock trial gives them an opportunity to apply skills learned on a competitive basis with their peers.
